This handcrafted sunflower pouch is the first piece in my new line of beadwork inspired by my Kiowa and Caddo heritage. Created with soft faux leather and detailed with a fully beaded sunflower motif, this pouch blends tradition, personal storytelling, and contemporary style.

Each bead is sewn by hand, honoring the legacy of my grandmother — a Kiowa and Caddo beadworker and activist — and my grandfather Bobby Cannon, whose creativity shaped generations. The bold colors and expressive style pay homage to my ancestor T.C. Cannon, whose fearless art challenged convention and brought Native expression into modern space.

The pouch is generously sized, making it perfect for small personal items, medicine, keepsakes, or display. Hand-stitched edging and bright bead accents give the piece a warm, vibrant look rooted in Indigenous craft and individual creativity.
